Stamping Sisters In Christ Challenge #165

Happy Monday, FRIENDS!!! :D

What a blast we had here on the blog on Friday!!!  Vicky Papaioannou was visiting us and shared two gorgeous Christmas cards with us.  If you missed it, click here to check out what the buzz is all about! (;

Today, I'm here to play along for the first time with the Stamping Sisters in Christ Challenge blog!!!  I am beyond blessed to have found this awesome group of crafty and godly women!!!!!!  What a delight for me to be able to share with these ladies the same intensity of passion towards things that are of high importance and interest in my life!!!!  Plus, the ladies there were just SO warm, welcoming and sweet with me, I felt like I fit right in!  Thank you, my beautiful stamping sisters in Christ!!! (;  I am incredibly thankful to GOD for allowing me to find such an edifying challenge blog!!! :D

This week's challenge is so meaningful.  It consists of taking something broken and assembling it all back together.  This week's challenge concept is a perfect reminder of God's promise and of His faithfulness to bind our wounds and to heal our broken hearts. (Psalm 147:3)

Here's a look at my card:

Credits to the photographer: J.D. Blanco
And here are two more artistic takes on the card... compliments to the photographer, my brother David!!! (;

I tore pieces of washi tape in "Polka Dot Red" to make it appear like they were holding the postcard together (this is my "broken" element).  I LOVE this card and I don't even know what specifically about it draws me to it... I just love the way everything coordinates so perfectly together!!! (:   I happen to think it's also very sweet and happy and it shows just how much love went into the making of it!

The pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye "All Is Bright" 6x6 paper pad, which I got from my good friend, Vanessa Vergara at V's Sweet Ideas--thanks, girlie!!! (:  This paper collection is just luxuriously beautiful!!! :D  The gorgeous rose and leaves images are from the retired Deasy Design's "Floral Fusion" stamp set, which I colored in using one of my ditto glimmer mists in red.  I absolutely LOVE these color sprays--they're STUNNING!!!  And of course, the Postcard image and super adorable sentiment are by Lawn Fawn's "You've Got Mail" and "So Thankful" stamp sets.  My card base is Papertrey Ink's rustic white cardstock and let me tell you, the quality is OUTSTANDING!!!  Never again using another brand of cardstock!

I've also decided to participate in the following challenges:
Stamps & Fun
Lexi's Creations
Connie Can Crop

Well, my lovelies, thanks again for stopping by and visiting me today here on the blog.  Hope my card has inspired you to get crafty and perhaps you'll decide to join us at the Stamping Sisters in Christ challenge this week!  Hope you have a wonderful Monday and maybe you'll find time during the day to get crafty!  'Til next time! (;  Blessings!!! Xoxo

Love,

Grisel
