You Are My Sunshine

Hola amigos!!! (:

Again, I feel like I've been away from my blog for TOO long!  Life gets quite hectic when you strive to succeed in business and one needs to make the time to create cards in order to sell on an Etsy shop... Wait, that's what I've been doing! HA! (:  But it's ALL worth it and it will pay off in the long run!

I hadn't had a chance to stop by my cousin's place to take pictures of all the cards I've been creating until today.  When I arrived home a few minutes ago, I came to realize I even left a card here at home that I was making planns to enter in the current Lawnscaping challenge *sniff, sniff*  Oh well, I guess I'll post it for you guys to check out in a future post.

Anyways, I recently got Lawn Fawn's "Sunny Skies" stamp set and I made 3 cards--one right after the other--the same day I had received it! :D  This is such a {[happy]} set, but then again, what Lawn Fawn product isn't?!!  I guess for me this set screams "HAPPY" and "CHEERFUL", because it has the cutest lil sun... As you all know, the sun produces vitamin D on our skin... But did you also know that vitamin D regulates our mood??? :D  That must be why I associate the sun with "HAPPY" thoughts.

And now, I present to you one of the cards I created using this super cool set:

I also created the banners with pattern paper from Lawn Fawn's Bright Side petite paper pad collection, except the cloud pattern paper which is from Echo Park.  I embossed the sentiment in black.  Of course, I paper pieced the sun, then decided to make it pop.  I inked up the banners using several distress inks and also popped up the orange banner--reminds me of sunshine.  Hope you're cheered up by seeing this card! (:

Stay tuned for more cards ahead.  Can't wait to show them all to you!!!  In the meantime, have a great start to your week tomorrow, and I will see you back here soon.  GOD bless you with His most bountiful blessings!  Xoxo

Love,

Gri

This is quite the cheery card, the sun just makes me smile and perfect balance with the banners.
