Lawnscaping Challenge #38: Photo Inspiration

Hello again, friends!

The Lawnscaping Challenge blog has a photo inspiration challenge going on right now and I'm excited to submit my participation to this one!!  We are to create a project inspired by an element of the photo, either the colors or any of the images--whatever your take is of the photo!  Now, let's take a look at the inspiration photo below:

So, recently I won a Michaels gift card in a blog hop.  With it, I ended up buying this beautiful mason jar stamp that I am head over heels with!!! I've been creating so many things w/this stamp, which is why I decided to also make a card using the same stamp for this challenge!  I paper pieced the mason jar using pattern paper from an Echo Park 6x6 designer paper pad.  Then, I glued yellow baker's twine around the lid and added a yellow rhinestone to the bow.  I also embossed the grayish panel with my Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots folder).  The dragonflies are from Lawn Fawn's "Critter's in the Forrest" set and I stamped them on vellum paper, using gray Memento ink and then sprinkled glitter/embossing powder in "sugar crystals" by Martha Stewart.  As I was cutting out the dragonflies, I cut a tiny circle around the tip of each drangonfly, which I later colored in yellow to give it the appearance of sparkly lights.  The sentiment I got from the Michaels $1 bin and I'm currently in love with it, too--can't stop using it! heheh (:

And here's my card... Hope you like it as much as I do! :D

Join me back tomorrow for another special card... Thank you for stopping by to visit me.  Looking forward to reading all your lovely comments!  May GOD richly bless each and everyone of you.  Continue to enjoy your weekend! xoxo

Love,

Gri
