Hello, my beautiful friends!!!
How are you all doing?! It's been SO hectic on my end, but I finally got a chance to craft a TON just for fun today!!! heheh (: One of my good friends, who keeps placing card orders with me (Thanks, Luisita!!), asked me to make her two wedding cards for two different weddings coming up soon. I previously shared the first one, which you can check out by clicking here. And now I'm sharing the second one with you, which I recently made, but never got around to photographing.
Back in January, I created a birthday card for a friend of mine (click here to see it). I heat embossed an image several times on vellum paper and colored the three cakes from the back... At the time I thought I had made a mistake, but as it turns out, I really liked the way the color appeared in the front by coloring it on the back. Last Wednesday, the über talented, Shari Carroll made this gorgeous card, in which she also white embossed an image on vellum paper and then turned it over to color it on the back--who knew this was an actual technique already!!! HA! (: You might think I'm crazy, but that made me jump in excitement!! Hahah! *grin* And since I had to finish a wedding card for my friend Luisa, I decided to make another card utilizing this brilliant and fun technique!! (: I am now entering this card in the current Lawnscaping Challenge #56: Inspiration. Thank you, Shari Carroll for the great inspiration!!!
Below, please find the challenge badge as well as my card:
Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp: Like Your Style stamp set
Copic Marker: YR07
Hero Arts: Lattice background cling stamp
Recollections: Card base (Michaels)
I stamped that beautiful stitched flower twice so that I could layer them on top of each other. Used embossing powders in white and pearly/shimmery pear colors. The strip of silver cardstock that goes across the card is very pretty in real life, but unfortunately the picture doesn't show it well ): I added a few pearls and the card was done! (:
If you'd like to play along in this challenge, you have 3 more days to enter... In other words: HURRY!! (: As always, I am delighted whenever you stop by my blog--thank you!! Have a fun and blessed day, my friends!!! XOXO
Love,
Grisel ♥
