A Clean & Simple Birthday Card! (:

I'm having a fabulous Friday... Took the day off to enjoy some "me" time.  Well, I've created a total of 3 cards and just love them all!!!  I will post each one separately, so make sure to check back for the other two! (;

I'm definitely a HUGE fan of clean & simple cards!!!  I'm also noticing how my card making style is gravitating towards the chic, cutesy, sweet, girly & romantic looks!!! Guys, I am seriously SO smitten w/this aspect of crafting!!!  The more I create, the more my imagination & creativity juices just flow!!!  Anyways, enough yappin'--I know! (:

Here is the birthday card I made, which was straight up inspired by the talented Jessica Pranski!

I punched out four (4) hearts in order to create the flower.  I first colored in a piece of white cardstock paper using 3 different pink ink colors: Ranger's Distress (in spun sugar and worn lipstick); ColorBox pigment (Raspberry fizz).  I also stamped the sentiment in the raspberry fizz color.  The sentiment is from the Hero Arts "Birthday Messages" stamp set.  I assembled the hearts into a flower, added a white button (from the Michaels dollar bin), attached cream embroidery floss to the button using mini glue dots, and then, finally mounted the flower using pop dots/dimensional adhesive.  I also free-hand cut two leaves out of a sheet of green pattern paper from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist 6x6 designer paper pad.

To create an ongoing border background, I stamped two different Lawn Fawn stamp sets using ColorBox's "frost white" ink...  The LF stamp sets were: Frosty Friends; Bake me a cake).

I love the simplicity of this card--I feel it's what brings forth the beauty of it!

Off I go now to post the other two cards.  Hope you guys enjoyed this one! (:
