Christmas Blessings Card!☃

Good evening, my lovely friends!!!

Aaaahhhh!  I am SO excited that I get a chance to visit my blog tonight!!!  Last time I crafted was almost a month ago when I was with my newly acquainted crafty friends here in Maryland.  Yesterday, as I was leaving from work, I just had the itch to craft and was determined to sit down and do so this weekend.  I decided to work on my Christmas cards since who knows when I'll be getting another chance to sit down and craft again... Well, truth be told, I am getting together with the ladies next Saturday afternoon to craft again, but "ain't no body got time for that" long of a wait!!! HA! (:

I was inspired to try out a stamping technique that Kristina Werner used in one of her Holiday Card series this week or last... Eeeeekkk!!! I was SO delighted by it!  I don't have the WPlus9 stamp set (yet) that Kristina used in her video (which you KNOW I'll be getting as soon as WPlus9 restocks it!), but I did use my Hero Arts version of the wreath and followed the stamping steps Kristina showed in the tutorial.  First, I stamped the wreath using Hero Arts shadow ink in Forever Green.  Then, I stamped the wreath a second time, but this time using shadow ink in Field Greens.  I absolutely LOVE the results!!  Adds depth and effortless shading! (:  Then, I took the berries from my Fresh Squeezed Stamps set Christmas Treats and inked them with Memento ink in Lady Bug.  The sentiment is from the Hero Arts stamp set Greatest Gift  (ColorBox Chestnut Roan ink).  I finished the card off by rounding the corners with my Crop-a-dile corner chomper (½ inch side).

Here's a look at the card (taken with my iPhone 5)...

I LOVE the outcome of this card!!!  It was so easy to make, too!  The supply list was very minimal--ink, stamps, white cardstock, copic markers (to color in the bow), a bit of dimensional tape to 3D mount the red bow and May Arts natural twine.  I believe I will be mass producing this card since I don't have the time to sit down and create a variety of designs any more.  Plus, I'll be mailing the majority of my cards this year so they need to be nice and flat! (:

Anyway, it feels great to be back on the blog, even if it's not as often as I'd like to... A BIG shout out to all my blogger friends (Tenia Nelson~amy~Laura JaneBarb GhigPatTenSGalYainea and Lisa's Creative Niche) for all the kind, sweet, encouraging and supportive messages on my last post!!!  Thank you, ladies!!!  I miss and love you ALL very much!!!!!!  May the LORD bless you abundantly more than you ask or imagine!!! See you next time!!! XOXOXO

Love,

Gri
