Hello, my beautiful friends!!!
How are you all doing?! OMW, I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've been on my lonely blog to post anything for you. I've been overwhelmingly busy, as well as stressed out with all that tags along with any move and prepping for a new job! But I'm alive and well and the LORD is blessing every step of the way. For this I am beyond grateful to Him! He never ceases to amaze me with His way of working out things... I serve an amazing GOD--He IS my Rock!!! (:
Today, the V's Sweet Challenge blog starts a brand new challenge for the month of August and the theme is TWINE!!! Woohoo!! Who doesn't adore twine?! It's just so fun and to be honest, it adds the perfect touch to the simplest project--every time! I hope you'll be inspired to play along with us.
The sponsor this month is the amazing Freckled Fawn who sells the most darling and yummiest washi tapes, along with many more of the trendiest products out there!! A BIG thank you to our friends over at Freckled Fawn!!! XOXO
Vanessa was SO generous (but then again, when isn't she?!) with the DT kits!! I squealed in excitement as I opened up each packet in the kit *grin* -- I used three items out of the many goodies in the entire kit: The adorable stamp set Cheeky Lessons (by The Greeting Farm), lilac sequins, and the yummy pink sorbet twine!
I stamped the image on white heavy card stock (from Papertrey Ink), using my jet black StazOn ink, since I'd be coloring in the image by mixing distress inks and distress markers with water... My watercolor paper wasn't cooperating w/the StazOn ink (or the stamp) for whatever reason, which is why I opted for Papertrey Ink cardstock--evidently GREAT quality, because I'm LOVIN' the outcome of the coloring!!! I was so hooked on this technique, I spent the rest of the evening coloring in other images--swooooon!!! (; I then mounted the panel where I had colored the image on a purple Hero Arts folded card (LOVE me these color folded cards--I own them in every color!), after I had tied a bow with the twine and glued all the delightful sequins on. Since my lights/tent studio are already packed away in boxes, my brother was kind enough to take a picture of the card with his camera (no flash) and worked some magic, if I say so myself! (; Anyway, don't forget to stop by the blog to link up your FABULOUS twine projects!!!
So this is it!!! The next time I post on the blog I'll be doing so from the comfort of my new place!!! (; Oooh, I like the ring to that... "my new place"!! [sigh] *leaping for joy* heheh (: Thank you all SO much for stopping by today!! I miss you tremendously! Wishing you a blessed day and wonderful rest of the week!!! XOXO
Love,
Grisel ♥
