"Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face."

Good morning, dolls!!!

Hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend!  I had a blast hanging out w/my brother, cousin, aunt & uncle last night!  Nothing beats family time!!! (;

I'd like to share two more cheerful cards with you today.  These again have the "We hope you will visit us again" sentiment.  I made some in pink and others in orange, so I now present them to you below:

I created my own pattern paper by first stamping my new Hero Arts "newspaper" background stamp onto white and cream card stocks.  Then, with the Deasy Designs "Floral Fusion" flower images (of varying sizes), I stamped those using Hero Arts "wet cement" (in LOVE with all my shadow inks!!!!) and ColorBox "white frost" pigment ink.  I also cut out the green pattern paper leaves by hand (by Echo Park) in the same manner that the incredibly talented Vicky does so herself--no pencil traces necessary... Doing it this way is not only more fun, but MUCH quicker!!! (:  The kraft card stock where I printed the sentiment on is by Recollections (Michaels brand).  The pink and shimmery orange textured card stocks are from Bazzill (for the paper pieced and heat embossed roses).  The card-bases (pink & orange) are by Hero Arts.

When I made my client (haha - that term makes me giggle), several samples of cards for him to choose from, he quickly gravitated towards all the cheerful cards--without hesitation.  This gave me a HUGE insight as to what types of cards I'd be creating for his church--bright and sunshiny!!!  Can't blame him--nothing compares to receiving a card that immediately lights up your face when you see it... (:

I can't wait to continue bringing you more of these cheerful cards...  So buckle up, and like my good friend, Kelly Marie says: "Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face." *grin*

Thanks SO much for stopping by and visiting me here on the blog today!  'Til next time, my lovelies.  Have a blessed and sunshiny week!!!  Xoxo

Love,

Grisel

Gorgeous cards, Grisel! I love how you layered the stamps to create your own paper!
