You're In My Thoughts...

Good morning, my beautiful friends!!!

I'm up early because I'm babysitting later this afternoon and wanted to take advantage of the morning hours to get some things done.  I created a beautiful little winter scene, combining TWO challenges I'm absolutely lovin' this week--Lawnscaping Challenge #50: Winter Wonderland and CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #86: Long and Short.

The CAS-ual Fridays challenge consists of creating a clean and simple (CAS) card that has one long side and one short side.  The Lawnscaping challenge consists of creating a project that features either a winter scene or anything that is inspired by winter.  These two challenges were the perfect combination.  I decided to create a little winter scene with a feel of serenity and deep thought--hence the Deasy Designs sentiment:  You're in my thoughts.  The tiny birdie is from the Papertrey Ink stamp set "Love Birds"--LOVE it!!!  I added the little round eye with black enamel from Ranger.  The trees you might recognize from the Hero Arts set "Christmas Reindeer".  I used Tumbled Glass distress ink to color the sky and background and vellum paper for the snowbank, followed by the sprinkling of LOTS of dazzling glitter by Recollections (in love!).  For the finishing touches?  White enamel dots over the scene for a pretty snowfall, and finally tied some May Arts black v-striped twill ribbon (from V's Sweet Ideas), which I'm also in love with.

I'm sending this card to offer encouragement to someone who's enduring quite the hardships at the moment.  I want them to feel GOD's peace and assurance that everything is going to be okay, even if it doesn't seem that way right now.   You are always in my thoughts and prayers--you know who you are...

Anyhow, without further ado, here are the challenges' badges and my card.  Hope you are inspired to play along also! (:

As always, thanks for stopping by and visiting.  'Til next time... Have a great Tuesday, my lovelies!  May GOD richly bless you this day. XO

Love,

Grisel
