I just got back home today from Michigan, where I was visiting my brother and many other old college friends!!! That was a blast, but I greatly missed being able to craft and get my hands inky! While I was there, my brother wanted to show his support for my crafting passion and treated me to a little shopping spree at Michaels last Friday! :D Let me tell you, I couldn't be happier!!! HA! (:
Anyways, it's been a while since I participated in a color palette challenge or at The Play Date Cafe, therefore I decided to play with my new goodies and join the fun over at The Play Date Cafe Challenge blog! (: This time the inspiration comes from a beautiful color palette: Bubblegum, Tangerine and Pear. Below, please find the inspiration image as well as the card I created for the challenge! (:
Please excuse the poor quality of my picture as I just returned today from my trip and don't have an opportunity to stop by my cousin's place and have him photograph this card better. (I won't be able to get a better picture of it later either, as my dad has asked me for this Thank You card to give to one of our neighbors.)
The adorable lamps you see here are my newest Hero Arts wood stamps that I picked up at Michaels during my time in Michigan. You won't believe me, but I paid less than $5 for them!!!!!! :D I don't know about you, but finding GREAT bargains make me ecstatic!!! (; I stamped the images using a Memento marker and two Stampin' Up! markers. I added clear glitter glue to the leaves on the center lamp to balance out the look of the card. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I heat embossed it in white. I tied rustic twine by May Arts around the panel, added a rhinestone to the center of each bow and tah-dah! I happen to think it turned out very sweet looking... (:
Anyways, I think there are only a few hours left to play in this challenge. If you have the time right now, then hurry and jump in to link your project!!!
Looking forward to the next time here on the blog!!! Have a blessed and crafty day!!!! Xoxo
