Happy Birthday, America!!!! Happy Independence Day, dear friends!!!! Yippieeee!!! :D ♫ It's a party in the US of A!!! (;
To commemorate this very festive occasion, I wanted to do so by sharing a special 4th of July [slash] Birthday card!!! For
this card, I decided to use ribbon by one of my most recent favorite brands, May
Arts!!! (You can purchase these at a great price from V's Sweet Ideas Online Shop). I used red, white and blue ribbon in honor of the event
that most marks the summer--the 4th of July!!! Yippieee!!! To give the 4th of July theme
continuity, I did so by adding stars. For this reason, I used the blue stars pattern
paper, as well as the star embellishments, which I created with a
"star" punch and a sheet of Echo Park red pattern paper,
as well as vellum paper. I added glitter glue to each punched out star,
because what's a star without its sparkles?! (; The sentiment is from Hero Arts' "Birthday
Messages" and I stamped it using my new Memento ink in "Danube
Blue"--I'm addicted to these inks, by the way! (; I didn't
want to add flowers or bows, in order to keep the card as masculine as possible
(I clearly mostly make very feminine cards--I can't help it, I'm very girly!).
Then, I added buttons in two different sizes to embellish the card some
more.
Here's the card:

Since we don't exactly
send 4th of July cards, I decided to adapt this one as a birthday
card. This card has already been mailed out to my artistically brilliant brother,
who's birthday was yesterday, July 3rd--YEAY!!! :D Happy Birthday again, David!!!!!! :D
Anyways, hope you are all having a great time on this 4th of July, as well as a safe one. Otherwise, have a blessed and CRAFTY day!!! GOD bless the USA!!! See you all next time! xoxoxo
Love,
Gri ♥

Great job combining both Birthday and July 4th on a card Grisel! Love it. The lace is lovely and the sentiment is perfect. Not to mention the ribbon ;)
Fabulous patriotic card!

What a cute card, Gri! And what a great way to get the colors and the sentiment in for a masculine card...
Just beautiful. Love the lace!!
