Challenge: Pink, Purple & Green!

Happy hump day, crafters!!!

I'm back AND really excited to share with you a card I am submitting to Ribbon Girl Challenge #20 - Pink, Purple & Green.  I was sold when I saw the inspiration picture!  See below...

The card I made for this challenge was very easy to craft.  I was dying to use this gorgeous aqua color cardstock, so I used it as my card base.  Then I pulled out my Echo Park designer paper pad and used all the paper I would need from there, to make sure everything would coordinate.  I cut several strips of paper.  I punched a border on the almost-solid pink strip of paper, using my Martha Stewart "Doily Lace" border punch.  The paper flower I made by using a scallop circle punch from EK Success, then misted each scallop circle with Perfect Pearls misting spray in gold.  Once everything was dry and I had assembled the flower, I added Distress Stickles in "Milled Lavender" around the edge of the "petals".   I also added a pearl in the middle of the flower, to glam it up a bit.  Using a pencil, I lightly hand-drew the leaves on almost-solid green pattern paper.  I cut out the leaf shapes, inked the edges using Distress ink in "Vintage Photo", then drew the leaves' veins.  I adhered the paper flower with my hot glue gun, because I was afraid it would come off if I only used glossy accents or glue dots.  Since I liked the feminine and sophisticated look and feel of the card, I decided to stamp a more fancy-looking sentiment such as "Celebrate with style" from Hero Arts "Birthday Messages".  I hope this card inspires you!
