Embellish Challenge - Rosettes Color Trends!

Happy week, everyone!

Guess whaaaat?! (;  It's time for another challenge!!! :D  Woohoo!!! *doing a happy dance* HA! (:  This time it's for the Embellish challenge, which I just discovered a little bit ago.

And here's the inspiration photo for you:

The twist is that your card must feature a rosette somewhere on it.

This was an easy card to make... It required very little stamping and mostly cutting and adhering.  The pattern paper I used is from the "Echo Park" Springtime 6x6 paper pad.  I adhered each strip of pattern paper onto a piece of white cardstock, which I later mounted onto the kraft color card base that you see here (from Recollections).  I punched out a scallop border off a rich blue/teal color cardstock (using a Fiskars border punch).  I decided to finally pull out these little pink flowers, which I purchased over a year ago at Michaels, and layered 3 of them to get the desired look.  I stamped the sentiment by inking up a studio-g $1 "get well soon" wood stamp with a gorgeous/rich pink Memento marker from the "Girls' Night Out" pack.  Tied a matching color piece of yarn around the scallop area, added a half pearl to the center of the flower, used a white gel pen to add faux stitching, and I was done.

I like this card, but for some reason I'm not too thrilled about it.  I will be making another one to submit as well to this challenge (you can enter as many projects as you'd like).

Head over to the Embellish blog to link up your entry and play along with us!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Love,

Gri
